Latin American Art

Since 1981 Christie’s Latin American Art Department has offered exceptional works by Spanish Colonial, 19th-Century, Modernist and Contemporary masters who have shaped the artistic landscape of the Americas. Year after year we have been the market leaders in Latin American Art, achieving landmark prices and strong sell-through rates on behalf of all our clients. Our unrivalled success has led to our being the only international auction house to offer stand-alone Latin American Art sales.

Held in New York in Spring and Fall, our biannual live and online sales have seen record prices realised for influential figures such as Diego Rivera, Wifredo Lam, Frida Kahlo and Fernando Botero, among others. With our broad global reach, we have seen participation from buyers and sellers from six continents and more than 40 different countries in recent years.

Our global team of specialists are unrivalled in their experience and expertise, and are always available for free and confidential auction valuations or to discuss Private Sales.
